Symbolically, she gave me one of her eyes because I’m a photographer, and she has a prosthetic eye. Yet her monocular vision allows her to see the world like a camera.
It’s often said that we see the world through our mother’s eyes, and I look at it through hers. Throughout this project, I’ve been asking myself a lot of questions that I hope to find answers to. What mysteries did my mother keep hidden? What sacrifices does a woman make when she gives birth to a child? What lessons should I learn before I become a mother myself?

Symboliquement, elle m’a donné un de ses yeux car je suis photographe, alors qu’elle-même a une prothèse oculaire. Pourtant, sa vision monoculaire lui permet de voir le monde tel un appareil photo.
On dit souvent que nous voyons le monde à travers les yeux de notre mère, et je me retrouve à regarder le monde à travers les siens. Tout au long de ce projet, je me suis posé de nombreuses questions auxquelles j’espère trouver des réponses. Quels mystères ma mère a-t- elle dissimulés ? Quels sacrifices une femme consent-elle en donnant naissance à un enfant ? Que devrais-je apprendre avant de devenir mère à mon tour ?
